The Realty Guarantee and Trust Company first opened its doors back in 1925, but 84 years later, the historical landmark will welcome new tenants.

"You can't even put into words the change that's been put into the building," says Bill Sperlazza with the Frangos Group. It is a building that will bring residential living to downtown Youngstown.

Out of the 23 apartments at the Realty Tower, there are about nine different floor plans to choose from, meaning there's plenty of variety. The units range in size from 2000 square feet in the Penthouse Suites, to 1200 to 1800 square feet in the remaining apartments. Most of the apartments have a walk-in closet and a bath right off the master suite, with a secondary bathroom down the hall. If you live on the south side of the building, you'll be able to catch a view of the city from your own balcony.

"We've had well over a hundred calls for people that want me to give them information," says Sperlazza.

About 60% of the construction is complete, but from the top down, there's still a lot to get done before anyone moves in this summer.

Sperlazza adds, "They're gonna be fully equipped; all brand new appliances, along of course, with washers and dryers."

And as the building transforms on the inside, parts of its history will remain intact. "A lot of the marble in the elevator lobby is staying," says Sperlazza.

If you want to stay in the Realty Tower, rent starts out at $1300 a month.
